WHY DON'T YOU APPLY FOR THE GOVERNMENT JOBS??

"Why don't you apply for the government jobs?", asks my dad while I am unlocking the door of my flat after a hectic day. "Dad, not again the same conversation.I have my own plans and dreams for my life. I have reached home." "You do't understand beta.We will talk later.Take care.And be safe.Bye!", says my dad. "Yes dad, you too take care. And I love you. Good Bye." ,saying this I disconnect the call.After sometime, I text my best-friend to clear up my head and discuss few things. After few minutes I receive a text "Busy in the office. Ttyl ."

I put my phone aside and as I lay down, the whole government job discussion floods in my brain starting the mini-debate inside me.As the debate starts, both the pros and cons of working in any MNC Or government department come up.There is an uncertainty in the job in MNC,while on the contrary, government jobs are much more reliable and secure. Second point that pops up is the pleasure of working on a laptop sitting a fully air-conditioned sky-soaring buildings whereas on the other hand working in the government workplaces is not even close to the comparison of it.Next point that comes up is the amenities apart from the salary, where the government job makes a great comeback while the later has no points to gain.Next point that rises is the opportunity to outstand yourself, learn and grow in this fast revolutionizing world and most importantly be a part of this revolution, while in government jobs the life becomes still.

While my brain is busy bringing more and more points for this debate to go on, I fall asleep and find myself working as a government employee.There is an almost dead fan above my head. I am talking to a friend over phone and listening of the trips her company has planned for the best performers. And here I am looking at the fan and then at the creaking chair on which I sit and suddenly the chair breaks down and I fall. I wake up and find myself bathed in sweat and realize it was all a dream. Just a dream.

I look at my phone and it is already 12 minutes past 9 at night and some other notifications including texts from office colleagues and friends. I set up a playlist on my phone, earphones plugged in and ready to cook myself as I am damn hungry. I remember the debate that occurred before I fell asleep and I realize I am still without an answer to the question ,"Why not to apply for the government jobs?"
